Main osteopath Yvonne Ayliffe qualified from the British School of Osteopathy in 1981 and has lived in the Caribbean, Africa, Scotland and now Norfolk for the last 15 years having established the Aylsham practice over the last 13 years and Tacolneston in the last 11 years. There is an interest in the practice in all aspects of osteopathy from sports injuries, babies, cranial osteopathy, structural work, long term postural changes,scoliosis, headaches, migraines, change through exercise such as Pilates and we have a close association with Kim Snelling of Shape-up Pilates. Podiatry can help our patients as well and here we connect with Ian Sadler a computerised podiatrist in Norwich. We also have a keen interest in children , their development and how we can help them before they develop the skeletal problems of adults, early checks are best and help keep the health of the person. With this aspect of paediatric care we have Katie Ellis who has started a two year MSc in paediatric osteopathy , We also have a sister practice in Tacolneston, South Norfolk, this qualification is relatively new. Yvonne has also treated children during her 29 years experience and works voluntarily at the Baby Cafe in Mundsley in North Norfolk to support the breatsfeeding programme which is so important for the health of the child and the jaw development.Recently we are trying to integrate the Optometric Vision Therapy aspect of Primitive reflexes to try and help the children who are dyspraxic, dyslexic generally are not coping very well and have retained primitive reflexes which disrupts the pattern of the muscular system which then limits learning, balance,sport,hand eye co-ordination and so much in the normal function of everyday life.

With this aspect of paediatric care we have Felicity Vaughan who has finished a two year MSc in paediatric osteopathy and is the only person to hold this qualification in Norfolk and Suffolk. who is actually at our sister practice in Tacolneston, South Norfolk. Kate Ellis is also doing the paediatric osteopathy MSc course and has been up in Edinburgh, but has moved back to her natve Norfolk to join both practices. This qualification is relatively new and Yvonne has also treated children during her 27 years experience and works voluntarily at the Baby Cafe in Mundsley tin North Norfolk to support the breatsfeeding programme which is so important for the health of the child and the jaw development.
