Eva has been working as an osteopath, in Walthamstow, since 1987. She was received, as an osteopath, onto the Register of the General Osteopathic Council, in 2000. She has treated a variety of back (spinal) problems, as well as a range of other muscle and joint conditions, in both acute and chronic presentations. She has looked after, and given advice to, three generations of patients, their friends and colleagues.
Eva uses a variety of osteopathic techniques, based upon the individual needs of each patient, to ease muscle and joint tension, or more vigorous and specific manipulative techniques, to improve movement. In addition to this, she gives advice on exercise and stretching and generally encourages her patients to take care of themselves, stay in good health and advises on how to avoid a recurrence of any injury.
Eva also use Interferential therapy, which provides a stimulating current to nerve and muscle cells and can help improve circulatory and lymphatic congestion; help to reduce swelling and inflammation and assist control of pain. She has found it effective in sports injuries, repetitive strain injury and conditions as diverse as sciatica, tennis elbow, and peripheral neuralgias; and it can also help osteoarthritic problems brought on by reduced blood flow to the area involved.
Eva believes that we are all responsible for our own well-being and for maintaining a state of good health, and her role as a therapist is to help people achieve this.
